Continuing in 2019 the Girls and Boys Junior PGA Championships will be play as separate events. For the Girls event there will not be any qualifiers.

Registration ends June 5th, however, we will take registrations after the deadline and will be placing players onto a wait list. There is no guarantee to be placed in the event from wait list, only able to place juniors from same division, same qualifier.

The number of players that advance on to the Section Championship at Gates Park Golf Course on July 11-12 will be posted at the event and here after TBA.

The 44th Boys Junior PGA Iowa Section Championship held at Gates Park Golf Course is an AJGA Performance Base Event. Boys 16-18 division will earn 1 star.

ONLY PLAYERS RESIDING IN THE IOWA PGA SECTION ARE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY IN THIS QUALIFIER. IF YOU LIVE WEST OF HIGHWAY 71 IN WESTERN IOWA, YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF THE IOWA PGA SECTION BOUNDARIES, YOU MUST PARTICIPATE IN ONE OF THE NEBRASKA PGA QUALIFIERS. IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF WHICH SECTION YOU RESIDE IN, PLEASE CALL THE IOWA PGA OFFICE AT 319-648-0026.

Qualifiers are Non Point events.

Start Time: 8:30 a.m. tee times

Format:
Boys 11 & Under will play 9 holes
Boys 12-18 will play 18 holes

Tee Assignments:
Boys 16-18 will play the Blue Tees
Boys 14-15 will play the White Tees
Boys 12-13 will play the Gold Tees
Boys 11 & Under will play the Red tees

Players should always be checked in at the registration table and ready to go on their tee 10 minutes prior to their tee time.

If you wish to try to advance on to the PGA National Championship held July 30-August 2 at Keney Park Golf Course in Hartford, Connecticut you must compete in the Boys 16-18 division.

If you qualify from the local to the Section Championship, you will need to submit your medical release form ASAP to the Section office. You will be contacted by email with your tee time and pairing after July 2 if you advance on to the Section Championship to be held on July 11-12 at Gates Park GC in Waterloo, IA. There is no additional entry fee for the Section Championship. Good Luck!

RANGE FINDERS ARE ALLOWED, BUT MUST BE USED FOR MEASURING DISTANCE ONLY. PLAYERS WILL BE PENALIZED IF THEIR USE OF A RANGEFINDER IS FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN DISTANCE. THE FIRST USE OF A BANNED RANGEFINDER FUNCTION WILL RESULT IN TWO STROKE PENALTY, AND ANY SUBSEQUENT USE DURING THAT ROUND WILL RESULT IN THE PLAYER'S DISQUALIFICATION.

ALL OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES MUST BE TURNED OFF AND STOWED IN GOLF BAG AND ARE NOT ALLOWED DURING PLAY. SUCH DEVICES INCLUDE CELL PHONES, IPODS, ETC.

Refunds will only be given until June 5, 2019. There will be a $5 processing fee for cancellations in 9-hole divisions and a $10 processing fee for cancellations in 18-hole divisions. If you choose to cancel and accrue credit to your account, you may use these funds for a future tournament, during the current season. If funds are not used, they will be donated to the Iowa PGA Foundation - Burkart Scholarship.
